The Perm authorities recovered 150 thousand rubles from the enterprise for a hit-and-run pedestrian.

The Chusovsky City Court of the Perm Territory recovered 150 thousand rubles from the municipal government institution “Property Exploitation” in favor of a pedestrian who was hit on the road. The driver of the car, who works at an enterprise owned by the Chusovoy authorities, was found guilty of the incident.

“In January 2023, the driver hit the plaintiff who was crossing the roadway in an unspecified place. As a result, she suffered serious bodily harm. Since the owner of the car is the MKU “Operation of Property”, of which the driver is an employee, the plaintiff makes claims against them. Compensation for moral damage in the amount of 150 thousand rubles was recovered from the defendant,” the court’s website reports.

Initially, the amount of claims was 500 thousand rubles. The defendant’s representatives in court tried to prove that the collection of compensation was unfounded, since the pedestrian’s actions showed gross negligence, which led to the collision. The court ultimately sided with the plaintiff, but reduced the amount of payment by 350 thousand rubles.
