The number of people injured in the collapse of the stand at the Rowing Canal in Rostov-on-Don has reached 26 people. This was announced today, May 30, by the governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev.
“In total, at the moment, 26 victims are known, 15 of whom are children. One woman died. All victims receive the necessary assistance, — he wrote in his telegram channel.
The head of the region personally visited the victims hospitalized in the local hospital. According to him, specialists from the children’s regional hospital were involved in the work.
The children’s department of the city hospital No. 20 clarified that at present there are 17 children injured in the emergency in the medical facility.
“They are still coming and going, now there are already 17 of them,” — told reporters in the hospital.
The tribune collapsed on the territory of the Rowing Canal during a football competition between schoolchildren. Head of City Administration Alexey Logvinenko reported that the collapse was caused by strong winds.
