The number of tourists arriving in Crimea by train has increased by 2.5 times. This was announced in connection with the World Tourism Day, which is celebrated today, September 27, in his Telegram channel, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic Vladimir Konstantinov.

Every day, 10 to 12 long-distance trains from different regions of Russia arrive on the peninsula. In addition, about 38 thousand cars pass on the Crimean bridge every day in both directions.

There are 446 beaches, 1098 sanatorium-resort and hotel organizations for 160,700 places in the republic, including 48 children’s recreation and health organizations and 91 sanatoriums. Under the tourist cashback program, 300 organizations operate in the republic, and programs to subsidize entrepreneurs are being developed.

Until October 1, proposals will be submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation for the improvement of the historical centers of Alupka and Evpatoria. As a result of the competition, Alupka will receive 215 million rubles, and Evpatoria – 121 million rubles.

In addition, Crimea won the federal competition for the allocation of subsidies to support the construction of modular hotels and will receive 300 million rubles for this undertaking.

This year, more than 5 million tourists came to the peninsula. This is 27 percent less than in the same period last year, but what it is connected with is well known, Konstantinov noted. According to him, in the current situation, in the conditions of a special military operation and the suspension of flights to Crimea, the results achieved are an obvious success.
