The number of self-employed in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug has increased by one and a half times

The number of self-employed in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug increased by almost 45 percent during the year and amounted to more than 18 thousand people. Dmitry Artyukhov announced this during an extended meeting of the Presidium of the State Council.

“Dmitry Artyukhov shared his experience of Yamal. The region remains the most prosperous in the country in terms of unemployment, which amounts to only one and a half percent of the economically active population. The number of self-employed people increased by 44 percent over the year, exceeding 18 thousand people,” the press service of the district government reports in the telegram channel “Yamal. Officially”.

The government of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug provides support to entrepreneurs from legal advice to various grant competitions. Specialist employment programs are being successfully implemented in the region.

Earlier, URA.RU reported that the unemployment rate in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug remains low. It even decreased slightly compared to 2022.
