In January of this year, an increase in the number of cattle was recorded in the Kurgan region. The figures in Sverdlovskstat were compared with the figure for 2022. Earlier, the governor of the region, Vadim Shumkov, set the task of increasing the number of animals by 210% before the Trans-Urals farmers.

“In January 2023, compared to January last year, farms [Курганской области] of all categories, there was an increase in the number of cattle by 1.4%. Cows – by 2.5%, pigs – by 2.7%, sheep and goats – by 2%, poultry – by 8.8%, ”the document says on the agency’s website.

Statistical data show that the growth for the reporting period was also shown by the production of meat and eggs. At the same time, the main share of milk production is concentrated in households.

According to URA.RU experts, state support measures contributed to the positive dynamics in part. So at the end of last year, a Chelyabinsk citizen moved to the Kurgan region and received a grant for the construction of a livestock farm. Correspondents of the agency also reported that the Trans-Urals farmer was helped to buy horses. Local authorities reimbursed part of the costs for the purchase of 75 Bashkir fillies.
