In Kurgan, work on the improvement of a new eco-park in the Ryabkovo microdistrict is being completed. It is planned to open before the New Year holidays. The mayor of the city, Elena Sitnikova, reported this on her Telegram channel.
“Friends, before the New Year holidays we plan to open an eco-park in the Ryabkovo microdistrict! The forest park area is close to completing the improvement work; it has always been very popular among the townspeople. Several generations have skied here, played sports and exercise, and just walked around. <…> An entrance group has already been installed at one of the three entrances to the eco-park. For now it has been covered with protective material,” writes Sitnikova. She also says the contractor plans to finish installing the foundations for the park’s lighting poles this week.
Earlier, URA.RU wrote that the Kurgan authorities abandoned the idea of residential construction in the 4th microdistrict of the Zaozerny district in favor of a park. It was reported that the park will occupy an area of almost 4 hectares and an additional 45 million rubles have been allocated for it. Later, the government additionally allocated 30 million rubles for work and filling of parks in the 4th microdistrict, and an eco-park in Ryabkovo.
