The health of Russian Alexander Vinnik, who is in custody in the United States, has noticeably deteriorated: he is almost blind and also has stomach problems due to salted prison food. About it newspaper “Izvestia” his mother Vera Vinnik told.

“Now he was prescribed glasses. He does not see either far or close – he, in fact, lost his sight. He had normal vision, he is a young man – he is 44 years old. Now, apparently, due to the fact that he does not receive something” – Vera Vinnik said.

According to her, her son was given glasses for free, and if necessary, he purchased medications at his own expense.
