Victoria, a resident of Pervouralsk, whose two-year-old daughter was allegedly killed by her partner Ivan Bekurin, lied to the police that the man did not beat the girl out of fear of him. In a conversation with a URA.RU correspondent, she said that she confessed only when Bekurin was detained.

“In his presence, I was afraid to tell the truth. But when he (Ivan Bekurin – approx. URA.RU) was taken away, she immediately told everything [силовикам]”, Victoria explained. According to her, she is a victim in the case. “I have already given all my testimony to the prosecutor’s office,” the woman added.

The tragedy, according to the woman’s relative, occurred on December 5. According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk Region, the man beat the baby for a long time. And he killed the child because of personal hostility, URA.RU was told by the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk Region. The man was sent to pre-trial detention for two months.
