The most popular alcoholic drink among Russians was beer

In the first four months of 2023, beer became the most popular alcoholic drink among Russians. Such conclusions were drawn on the basis of a study of demand in small “convenience stores”.

“In small “convenience stores” the most popular alcohol among Russians is beer. 59% of the sales of this category of drinks fall on it. The second most popular is wine – 27%”, – reported “Moscow 24” in the press service of the company ATOL.

But among strong alcohol, vodka (3%) and whiskey (1%) became the leaders in sales from January to April. According to the company, the least Russians chose brandy and sake. Purchases of this type of alcohol accounted for 0.05 and 0.02% of total sales.
