The Ministry of Justice spoke about plans to add the category of “third parties” to the law on foreign agents

It is planned to add a definition of “third parties” to the law on foreign agents, said the First Deputy Minister of Justice of Russia Oleg Sviridenko.

This initiative is aimed at preventing violations of the law, the official noted at the site of the XI St. Petersburg Legal Forum. According to him, these amendments have already been supported by the Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

The category of “third parties” is supposed to include all those who “are not foreign agents, they are not even affiliated with foreign agents,” but at the same time help them in violation of the law, Sviridenko explained. As measures to combat such violations, warnings and fines will be applied, the deputy minister stated.

Earlier, the Federal Financial Monitoring Service included actor Artur Smolyaninov*, a foreign agent, on the list of terrorists and extremists.
