The Ministry of Internal Affairs offered tax incentives to migrants for good knowledge of the Russian language

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia proposes to introduce discounts on personal income tax for labor migrants, depending on their level of proficiency in Russian. This was announced by the head of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Valentina Kazakova at a round table in the State Duma on the social and cultural adaptation and integration of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation, Interfax reports.

For a basic level of Russian language proficiency, a 10 percent discount on personal income tax will be applied, for an intermediate level – 15 percent; for the highest – 20 percent. The maximum discount will be 50 percent, it, according to the idea of ​​the Ministry of Internal Affairs, relies on a native speaker of the Russian language.
