Moldovan police announced the arrest of agents who allegedly arrived in the country from Russia

The Moldovan police uncovered a “Russian network of agents”, allegedly carrying out actions to destabilize the country. This was reported on March 12 by the German magazine Spiegel with reference to the head of the Main Police Inspectorate of Moldova Viorela Cernauteanu.

According to Cernauteanu, the network was controlled by Moscow. Its members allegedly came from Russia with a very “specific task” to organize the destabilization of Moldova by organizing demonstrations in the country.

On the evening of March 11, the Moldovan police carried out raids in which they interrogated 25 people, and seven of them were detained.

Recall that on March 12, a mass opposition rally was held in Chisinau. The Moldovan authorities called the rally an “attempted coup” and promised to punish the “traitors” who participated in it
