If the authorities implement the proposed measures, municipalities will be able to restrict the sale of alcohol on weekends and holidays. Today, you can buy such goods in most regions of Russia from 8 am to 11 pm. New measures are aimed at combating alcohol addiction among Russians.
In addition, the Ministry of Health is considering raising the minimum age for the sale of alcoholic beverages (over 17.5%). At the moment it is 18 years old, but the authorities have proposed to raise it to 21 years.
It is noteworthy that earlier the government of the Arkhangelsk region spoke about plans to prepare a bill restricting the work of drinking establishments. According to the governor, the problem of alcoholism is relevant today. New initiatives will effectively deal with it.
