The Ministry of Defense reported on the work of air defense – 10 MLRS shells and 2 S Storm Shadow missiles were shot down

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue a military special operation in Ukraine, during which aviation and air defense systems successfully counter threats from the air.

This is stated in the latest military report of the Ministry of Defense, which was announced at a briefing on May 26 by the official representative of the military department, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

According to him, air defense assets intercepted in the air: ten HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, a Grom-2 operational tactical missile, and two long-range Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

“In addition, twenty Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed in the areas of the settlements of Olshana in the Kharkiv region, Zolotarevka, Nikolaevka in the Luhansk people’s republic, Artemovsk in the Donetsk people’s republic, Holaya Pristan, Velyka Lepetikha in the Kherson region, Komsomolskoye and Tokmak in the Zaporozhye region, the general reported.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, the following have been destroyed: 429 aircraft, 235 helicopters, 4341 unmanned aerial vehicles, 424 anti-aircraft missile systems, 9302 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1100 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems, 4908 field artillery guns and mortars, as well as 10464 units of special military vehicles.
