The Ministry of Defense reported how the Russian Federation is implementing Putin’s decree on increasing the size of the army

The increase in the number of military personnel of the RF Armed Forces is being implemented in stages at the expense of citizens who express a desire to perform military service under a contract. This was reported to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In Russia, the maximum number of soldiers in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces has been increased by 170 thousand people, as follows from the decree of Vladimir Putin.
