The Ministry of Defense decided to change the health requirements for conscripts

In Russia, it is planned to change the process of medical examination of citizens, taking into account the experience of military operations and diseases that do not significantly affect the ability to perform the duties of military service. This proposal was made by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“The Ministry of Defense proposed to change the organization of medical examination of citizens with diseases that do not have a significant impact on the ability to perform the duties of military service,” – it says in the text of the document published on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts. It is noted that the innovations will be applied during military registration, conscription, concluding contracts with the Ministry of Defense, as well as during mobilization and military training.

The goal is to improve the health requirements of these individuals. Regulatory changes will be made to the Regulations on Military Medical Examination, which determines categories of fitness for military service depending on the presence of certain diseases, the text of the document says.
