
The Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov at a meeting with the Governor of the YNAO Dmitry Artyukhov said that he sees great prospects for the development of domestic eco-tourism in Yamal. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
“The unique nature, cultural heritage of indigenous peoples, opportunities for eco-tourism – all this attracts the attention of new travelers every year. We see great potential for the development of this sector and are ready to support the entrepreneurial initiative in this area,” Reshetnikov said in an interview with Artyukhov.
The head of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug announced that active work is underway in the region to design facilities and infrastructure for the future tourism cluster in the Polar Urals. It is expected that the implementation of this project will significantly increase the number of tourists to the region.
Earlier, URA.RU reported that the authorities allocated 26 million rubles for the implementation of projects for the development of domestic tourism in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. According to the results of the YNAO governor’s grant competition, five projects received financial support.
