
Containers with naturally occurring uranium, the disappearance of which was reported to Libya by the International Atomic Energy Agency of the United Nations, have been found.
General Khaled al-Mahjubwho commands the communications division of Marshal Khalifa Haftar, issued a statement that the uranium containers were found five kilometers from their original storage site, in the Sabha region in southern Libya.
On Wednesday, March 15, the IAEA said that 2.5 tons of natural uranium were missing from the facility. Uranium ore concentrate has a low level of radioactivity. This substance is a powder consisting of 80 percent uranium oxide. It is in demand in the preparation of nuclear fuel for reactors.
