The meteorologist named the regions of Russia where frosts will come this weekend

In the Urals over the weekend it will become sharply cold to minus 10 degrees, and in Siberia to minus 28. This was stated by meteorologist and head of the METEO forecast center Alexander Shuvalov in an interview with URA.RU.

“The entire first half of November, the European territory of Russia was very warm, and at the same time the eastern part – Siberia and the Urals – deviated from the norm in a positive direction: in Yekaterinburg by four degrees, in Norilsk by eight. There, air temperatures below 20 degrees were recorded only once. This is an unprecedented case! But this period is coming to an end,” noted Alexander Shuvalov. According to him, in the coming days in Salekhard the air temperature will drop to minus 20-25 degrees. It will become abnormally colder in Norilsk: if on Friday morning (November 17) it will be minus 8.13, then by the evening it will be minus 23.28 degrees – the lowest temperature since the beginning of autumn.

According to the meteorologist, further light frosts will overtake the Middle Urals. “Ekaterinburg will start Friday with positive temperatures, a little snow is expected, but by the evening it will become sharply cold to minus 3.5 degrees, and there will be icy conditions on the roads. Temperatures will continue to drop over the weekend,” Shuvalov added.

• Sverdlovsk region – up to minus 10, 12 degrees. And this will be the first 10, 12 degrees in November;
• Khanty-Mansiysk, Nizhnevartovsk, Surgut – up to minus 10-15 degrees, in some places up to minus 20;
• The south of the Tyumen region, Tyumen itself – minus 5 degrees during the day, minus 10 at night.

At the same time, the agency’s interlocutor emphasized that the cooling will begin abruptly and end abruptly. “The duration of this decrease is at least 4-5 days. So it’s still too early to prepare felt boots, but it’s time to warm up.

Southern Urals – Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk – it will also get colder there to 3.8 degrees. Only the period of these cold spells will be shorter. Ufa and Orenburg will be covered with snow again at the beginning of next week. And it will get warmer,” he concluded.
