The medical project approved by Artyukhov will be supported by the Ministry of Health

Oleg Apolikhin, Chief Specialist of the Russian Ministry of Health for Male Reproductive Health, will oversee the project, supported by the YaNAO Governor Dmitry Artyukhov. This was announced on the official website of the government of the district.

“Yamal doctors, together with colleagues from the Research Institute of Interventional Urology of the Russian Ministry of Health, will conduct a multi-purpose scientific study. At the first stage, doctors will conduct a survey in Nadym, Noyabrsk and Salekhard,” the report says.

The second stage of research will be screening. It will include a medical examination, ultrasound, a set of tests, including hormones and sexually transmitted infections. The results of the study will show the social and reproductive health of men living in the YNAO. It is known that the chief prophylactologist of the district, doctor of medical sciences Sergey Tokarev, has been appointed responsible for conducting the examination in the district.
