A resident of St. Petersburg, Tigran Kh., who shot at an riot policeman the day before, was sent to a pre-trial detention center for two months. This decision was made by the Kuibyshevsky District Court.
“The Kuibyshevsky District Court of the city of St. Petersburg granted the petition of the investigation to choose a measure of restraint in the form of detention in respect of Tigran Kh., who is accused of committing a crime under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation,” the judge announced the decision.
According to the investigation, the accused shares the views of the Artpodgotovka extremist group*. The man partially admitted his guilt and did not object to the conclusion. He will stay in the pre-trial detention center until April 23.
* The activity of the organization is prohibited in Russia by the decision of the Supreme Court.
