The Liberal Democratic Party proposed to issue coins with images of the heroes of the special operation

The Liberal Democratic Party proposed to issue commemorative coins with images of the heroes of the special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine. This statement was made by the leader of the party, head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky.

“We have celebrated the anniversary of the Northern Military District, we will soon celebrate the anniversary of the entry of new regions into the Russian Federation. We propose to issue commemorative coins with images of the heroes of the Northern Military District in the coming months,” — he said in an interview with reporters.

According to Slutsky, images of recognizable objects of new Russian subjects may also appear on the coins. He added that the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina agreed with this proposal. The initiative is planned to be developed further.
