The leader of Pridnestrovie invited the United States to join the investigation of the prevented terrorist attacks

TIRASPOL, 27 Mar – The head of the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Vadim Krasnoselsky, at a meeting on Monday with US Ambassador to Moldova Kent Logsdon, invited American law enforcement officers to join the investigation into the prevented terrorist attacks in the region.

“The President of the PMR, emphasizing the openness of the investigation conducted by the Pridnestrovian law enforcement agencies, suggested that the FBI specialists join it. The head of the Pridnestrovian state noted that the employees of the Federal Bureau of Investigation are ready to provide access to the collected evidence base and assist in a detailed and comprehensive study of the materials of the investigation,” reports press service of the head of the PMR.

Krasnoselsky, recalled that the OSCE delegation, on whose members the failed assassination attempt was being prepared, included a US citizen – the head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, Kelly Kaiderling.

“The main goal of international cooperation through the relevant services is to establish all the circumstances of the planned large-scale crime and prevent the recurrence of this.”

Earlier, the PMR prosecutor Anatoly Guretsky said that during the investigation it was established that a terrorist attack was being prepared against the OSCE delegation on February 14 near the Bendery fortress at the moment when it was supposed to return to Chisinau. According to him, they planned to leave the car with explosives on the route of the OSCE delegation in the area of ​​the Bendery fortress in a trolleybus “pocket” on the road towards Chisinau.

On March 9, the Ministry of State Security of Transnistria announced the prevention of a terrorist attack in Tiraspol against officials of the PMR, which was being prepared at the direction of the Security Service of Ukraine. Those involved in the preparation of the attack were detained and confessed. According to investigators, the attack was supposed to be carried out on one of the busy roads in the central part of Tiraspol. Members of the criminal group prepared a car of Pridnestrovian registration, stuffed with explosives with damaging elements.
