MOSCOW, Dec 1 – Three rules work with the choice of a method of payment for a product or service. And one of them says that only the buyer can choose how to pay for the purchase – in cash or by card. In such a choice, the client can only be limited by the lack of Internet in a remote area, says agency “Prime” lawyer Elena Kuderko.
She advises submitting an application to Rospotrebnadzor if the seller requires cash payment, and indicate all the circumstances of the seller’s refusal to conduct a non-cash transaction, attach a check if you paid for it.
“For any refusal to accept a non-cash payment, the seller of the goods will have to pay a fine in the amount of 30,000 to 50,000 rubles for each violation,” Kuderko warns.
In addition, according to the lawyer, the seller has no right to include in the price of the goods an additional 2% -3%, which he pays to the bank as a commission for accepting non-cash payments. The interlocutor of the agency also draws attention to the fact that the transfer to the merchant’s card of the store cannot be considered proof of payment to the store, because such a “check” will not be able to return the goods.
