In Latvia, from October 21 to November 15, all enterprises and institutions are closed, except for those providing essential services, a curfew is also introduced from 20:00 to 5:00. The government of the country reported this in Twitter

According to a posting by the agency LETA, in Latvia will be banned “the provision of services related to entertainment, gambling, betting, attractions, including water parks, entertainment centers, trampoline parks.” They will also suspend the work of enterprises providing “services related to beauty, well-being, leisure, physical activity, sports, tourism, except for accommodation and foreign travel, photo and video services, except for photography for documents and work with the media.” Personal consultations and hunting are also prohibited. Most shops and educational institutions will be closed.

“Household services, which are not subject to special requirements, will be provided by providing one visitor at least 15 square meters of public space,” – said in the message.

It is planned to resume full-time education in schools for grades 1-3 from November 1. In kindergartens, it is planned to retain only the work of the so-called duty groups for children whose parents are busy with “critically necessary” work.

New measures to combat coronavirus were previously announced by the Prime Minister of Latvia Krisjanis Karins.
