The former head physician of the Kurgan Oncology Center, Givi Sepiashvili, remained to work in the institution as an oncologist. The regional health department reported this to URA.RU in response to a request from the agency.
“Givi Georgievich Sepiashvili continues to be engaged in public work as a deputy of the Kurgan Regional Duma. He works as an oncologist at the Kurgan Regional Oncology Dispensary. Making an appointment with an oncologist at the State Budgetary Institution “Kurgan Regional Oncology Dispensary” is carried out through the local general practitioner at the place of residence,” says the response from the Department of Health.
Givi Sepiashvili previously reported to URA.RU that after his vacation he would again take up his life’s work – he would treat people. He also noted that in the region it is extremely important to explain to patients the need for early diagnosis, as well as to establish the work of CAOCs (Outpatient Oncology Care Centers) in the districts and their interaction with the oncology clinic.
Earlier, URA.RU wrote that as of September 12, former Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Crimea Valentin Savchenko was appointed head of the Kurgan Regional Oncology Center. The head of the Department of Health, Alexey Sigidaev, explained Sepiashvili’s resignation from the post of chief physician by “the need to organize a large-scale socio-political structure and set tasks at the federal level for holding elections.”
