The Kremlin does not see a trend in connection with the detention of scientists for treason

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov urged not to draw conclusions about any “trends” in the latest cases that were initiated, in particular, against domestic scientists on the fact of treason.

“I would not draw a conclusion about any trends. Our special services are performing their function. They protect state secrets and control the situation for possible cases related to suspicions of treason, this is a very important job,” said a Kremlin spokesman during a briefing.
