President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will visit Moscow next week on an official visit, said Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov. He did not provide any details.
The press service of the Tajik leader previously reported that the head of state will visit Russia on November 21–22. It was stated that he would meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in a narrow and expanded format.
The last time Mr. Rakhmon met with Mr. Putin was in October in Bishkek on the sidelines of a meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State. The President of Tajikistan visited Moscow in May 2023 – he took part in ceremonial events dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. In 2019, Mr. Rakhmon visited the Russian Federation on an official visit at the invitation of Mr. Putin.
