KhMAO Duma deputy Alexandra Glotova from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation went against the line of the party’s Central Committee. She supported the draft budget contrary to the decision of the faction, and now she faces problems along the party line, including expulsion. A source in the district political beau monde told URA.RU about this.

“The communists received a technical assignment from the party leadership – to vote against the budget of regions or municipalities, even if their votes do not affect the adoption of the bill. However, Glotova supported the budget at a meeting of the district Duma and thereby incurred the wrath of the faction leadership,” the informant shared.

Glotova herself, in a conversation with a URA.RU journalist, stated that she really supported the draft budget and voted for it. “Yes, perhaps this will cause problems along party lines. However, this does not scare me, since I voted for the budget, guided by the interests of the voters. Of course, it is not perfect, but it is well balanced. As for the shortcomings, they mainly relate to underfunding of the social bloc. Regarding the cost of education, I, as a teacher, expressed my opinion on committees. My medical colleagues also expressed their views,” the deputy clarified.

A year ago, another Ugra communist, Khalid Tagizadeh, went against the party line. This became one of the reasons for his protracted conflict with the head of the regional branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Alexei Savintsev, and the beginning of the collapse of the faction in the district duma.

A URA.RU correspondent asked Savintsev to comment on the incident. He replied that he would be ready to do it later.

Earlier, URA.RU wrote that the authorities of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug were unable to budget for the costs of fully covering the costs of neonatal screening. They promised to find funds when there was a budget surplus.
