The Israeli ambassador to Ukraine announced his country’s readiness to become an intermediary between Moscow and Kyiv

Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Brodsky said that his country is ready to mediate in negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv. This is possible with the mutual desire of the parties, he noted.

“If there is a desire for us to be mediators, if there is a need for our participation, we are always ready,” Mr. Brodsky said on the air of the all-Ukrainian telethon (quoted by RIA Novosti). A similar statement, according to the Ambassador, was made by the Israeli Prime Minister.

The negotiations between Russia and Ukraine were terminated at the initiative of Kyiv, which became known on May 17, 2022. Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said in February that the parties had previously prepared 17 drafts of a peace agreement.
