The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered to provide a report on the progress of the inspection due to violations of the rights of residents in Sukhoi Log (Sverdlovsk region). A disabled child and other residents of the house on Opytnaya live with rotten floors and mold in a dilapidated building. Information about the request for a report was reported by the Information Center of the Russian Investigative Committee.
“The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed acting… O. the head of the Investigative Directorate for the Sverdlovsk Region, Anatoly Nadbitov, to submit a report on the progress of the inspection,” the department said in a message on its telegram channel. The regional investigative committee is conducting an investigation under the criminal article of negligence.
At the end of November, the Popular Front of the Sverdlovsk Region reported that residents of a house built in 1963 were suffering from their dilapidated housing. The house is covered in mold, the walls are riddled with cracks, and the floors are rotten. The building was declared unsafe a year ago, but the residents have not yet been resettled.
Eight families live in the house, some of them include pensioners, small children, and one of them has a disabled child. Residents of the building also complained that utility companies bill for electricity at the rate of a gasified home, but no gas was supplied to the building.
