
The Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case after the derailment of carriages in the Ryazan region under an article about a terrorist attack. The information was provided by the department.
“The investigative bodies of the Western Interregional Investigative Directorate for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation have opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime provided for in clauses “a”, “c”, part 2 of Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist act), paragraph “a”, part 3 of art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, transfer, storage, transportation, forwarding or carrying of explosives or explosive devices),” –
On November 11, 19 carriages of a freight train in the Ryazan region derailed on November 11. There were no casualties. Traces of explosives were found at the scene. The investigation believes that an explosive device was detonated.
The incident occurred due to the intervention of unauthorized persons, the Moscow Railway (MZD) reported. After the emergency in Ryazan, the city announced the “Interception” plan.
