The incidence of influenza and SARS increased by 11.7 percent over the week

In the 11th week of 2023, the incidence of influenza and acute respiratory viral diseases increased by 11.7 percent, the increase in the number of cases of coronavirus was 3.8 percent. This was reported on Tuesday on the website of Rospotrebnadzor.

It is noted that in just the past week, 849,000 cases of influenza and SARS were recorded, while 48.5 percent of the total number of viruses passed through influenza.

“The incidence of COVID-19 increased slightly compared to last week – by 3.8%, 83 thousand cases were registered,” the report says. It is noted that “omicron” remains the dominant strain.

Previously, “Parliamentary newspaper” figured out how long the body recovers from the flu. According to Roman Gorenkov, specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region in general medical practice, this may take from three weeks to one month.
