Projected costs for the restoration of Ukraine will have to be revised. So, they will definitely be increased, said the head of the World Bank, David Malpass.
The cost of restoring Ukraine has already been estimated at $349 billion. The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in turn, reported a figure of 600 billion euros.
“Pretty much (increase). The amounts are simply staggering,” Malpass said.
He also added that $18 billion has already been received by Ukraine. Most of these funds were provided by the United States and European countries.
The costs of restoring Ukraine were also previously estimated by President Volodymyr Zelensky. More than $1 trillion is needed, he said.
