The head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Oleg Gilev, met with the personnel of fire and rescue unit No. 12 in Gubkinsky. During a working visit, he awarded two employees of the department with medals “For Distinction in Service”, 1st degree. This was reported by the press service of the region’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.

“Medals “For Distinction in Service”, 1st degree, were awarded to the deputy head of the department of supervisory activities and preventive work in the city of Gubkinsky, Dmitry Nikolaevich Zhurikov, and the deputy head of the detachment, head of the 12th fire and rescue unit, Alexey Mikhailovich Kleshnya. At the end of the meeting, Oleg Vladimirovich congratulated the employees, thanked them for their conscientious work and wished them further career advancement,” the department’s press service reports in the telegram channel.

Also during his visit, Oleg Vladimirovich discussed working issues with the unit. The head of the region’s Ministry of Emergency Situations awarded the next special rank of internal service sergeant major to department commander Alexander Volynets.

Before this visit, Oleg Gilev had already visited Novy Urengoy. Together with the personnel of the third fire and rescue squad, he discussed problematic issues of the unit. For the same purpose, he planned to visit the new fire and rescue station in the village of Korotchaevo, and then wanted to continue his work in Tarko-Sale and Gubkinsky.
