Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin demanded a report on the investigation of the criminal case into the fact that a baby froze to death in Serov (Sverdlovsk region). Information about this appeared in the telegram channel of the Sledkom department.

“The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the acting head of the Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk Region, Anatoly Nadbitov, to present a report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case and the established circumstances. Characteristic material is being requested regarding the family of the deceased child,” the statement said.

During the investigation, investigators will evaluate the actions of officials of the prevention system. The investigation has been placed under control in the central office of the department.

In the village of Filkino near Serov, on December 3, a child froze to death after the mother and baby were discharged from the maternity hospital. Locals negatively characterize the family in which the tragedy occurred. The Sverdlovsk Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into the death of the child.
