The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, has appointed Rostislav Antonov, an independent deputy of the Council of Deputies of Novosibirsk, as an adviser to the head of the DPR on humanitarian issues. The Russian official himself wrote about this on social networks. specifying that he will deal with humanitarian issues.

“The appointment of me as an adviser to the head of the DPR on humanitarian issues is a great honor and a huge responsibility. As for my parliamentary work in Novosibirsk, I will fulfill all my obligations to voters in full.”

The deputy said that the new position will help to act with greater impact and bring more benefits to people, reports MK.RU. Antonov noted that since 2014 Donetsk has become his second hometown.

This is not the first appointment of Russians to high positions in the DPR. In June, Pushilin signed a decree resigning the government. He appointed Russian regional officials to the vacant seats – for example, the former head of the department of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vitaly Khotsenko, became the acting chairman of the government of the DPR.
