The head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry said that the time for diplomacy in Ukraine has not come

It is impossible to demand territorial concessions from Kyiv, so it is too early to talk about a diplomatic solution to the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated in an interview published on March 6 by the Standard newspaper, the head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry Alexander Schallenberg.

“I very much hope that a situation will arise again in which there will be a place for diplomacy. But we haven’t gotten there yet.”Shallenberg said.

He added that in order to preserve the opportunity to start negotiations, it is impossible to destroy all platforms for communication with Russia. At the same time, Schallenberg stressed that without Kyiv it is impossible to make decisions on the conflict in Ukraine.

It is worth noting that on March 5 in Vienna, hundreds of protesters called on the Austrian authorities to stop supplying weapons to Kyiv. Activists fear that the country could be drawn into a conflict with Russia.
