The Control and Disciplinary Committee (CDC) of the Russian Football Union (RFU) has disqualified the head coach of the Yekaterinburg “Ural” Viktor Goncharenko for three matches of the Russian Premier League (RPL) for obscene taking to the referee, said the head of the CFC Artur Grigoryants.
Referee Aleksey Amelin removed Mr. Goncharenko from the field during stoppage time of the match of the 20th round of the RPL “Ural” – “Dynamo”. “Goncharenko’s probationary period has not ended. He has a relapse. One conditional match became real, and two more were added,” Mr. Grigoryants pointed out.
According to the results of the match during which the incident occurred, Yekaterinburg lost to Dynamo with a score of 0: 1 – this defeat was the first for Viktor Goncharenko’s team in 17 matches. “Red card? In my opinion, there was a clear handball, which the referee diligently did not notice. Of course, I boiled over, maybe I went over a little, but I think that we deserved a standard, not a counterattack, ”the head coach commented at the end of the match (quote from Match TV).
As a result of the disqualification, Mr. Goncharenko will miss his team’s games against Zenit St. Petersburg, Akhmat Grozny and CSKA Moscow.
In September 2021, Viktor Goncharenko (he worked at Krasnodar that season) was disqualified for three matches (two real, one conditional) for insulting an official representative of the RFU. Mr. Goncharenko, being the head coach of CSKA, received the same disqualification in November 2019 for a skirmish with referees during a break in the match against Sochi.
