
Russian special operation in Ukraine
For the first time, to repel Russian air attacks carried out by the Russian Armed Forces on military targets in the Odessa and Nikolaev regions on November 4-6, the Ukrainian air defense system used HAWK anti-aircraft systems from Spain. But their use turned out to be ineffective, Izvestia writes, citing a source familiar with the situation.
“For the first time, Ukrainian air defense used HAWK anti-aircraft systems supplied by Spain to repel a Russian strike. Hokies were used primarily to destroy Russian attack drones. The new product did not cope with its task and showed low performance,” writes edition.
From November 4 to 6, Russian troops carried out several attacks in the Odessa and Nikolaev regions. The targets were places of concentration of Ukrainian troops, warehouses with weapons, military equipment and ammunition.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky suspended the commander of the 128th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Dmitry Lysyuk, from his post during the investigation into the case of a strike by the Russian Armed Forces against artillerymen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye direction. Ukrainian media clarified that Lysyuk was late for congratulations, so he was not injured.
