The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation has approved indices for the amount of payment for housing and communal services and the range within which tariff prices can fluctuate. This follows from a document approved by the government.
“The government has approved indices for changes in the amount of fees for housing and communal services on average in the regions and maximum permissible deviations from these values for individual municipalities for 2024-2028,” says the document, cited by RIA Novosti. The Federal Antimonopoly Service will monitor the implementation.
The indices introduced by the Russian government are aimed at preventing regional authorities from sharply increasing prices for housing and communal services. This will protect consumers. TASS writes that the indices will depend on the regions. For example, in Moscow it will be 11%, in St. Petersburg – 9.8%.
