The Government of the Russian Federation allocated a grant in the amount of 119 million rubles to Tyumen State University. The money will be provided for the development of the West Siberian interregional scientific and educational center of the world level. The corresponding order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“This year, 15 research and educational centers will receive grants, which bring together about 600 different participants, including educational and scientific organizations, as well as large and medium-sized enterprises in the real sector of the economy. To date, REC participants operate in 35 Russian regions. Among the recipients of grants is Tyumen State University,” the order says.

It is noted that a total of 1.6 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of world-class scientific and educational centers. The list of recipients was determined by a special council headed by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and presidential aide Andrei Fursenko. Funds are provided based on the results of the activities of these organizations for 2021.
