The FSB published a draft order, according to which, for the intentional transfer of data on the movements of Russians abroad, one can receive the status of a foreign agent. The document is posted on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts.
In July, the President signed the law “On Control over the Activities of Persons Under Foreign Influence”, which will come into force in December this year. Foreign agents, according to the document, will not be able to engage in educational and educational activities for children, organize public events, publish information products for minors, such as magazines, and participate in public environmental expertise. A person who has received such a status will not be able to hold public office, be a member of the election commission, promote candidates in elections and receive state support in creative activities.
In September last year, the FSB approved a list of data in the field of military and military-technical activities of Russia that are not state secrets, but which, if transferred to foreign sources, can be used against the country’s security, and persons collecting such data for a foreign customer can be recognized foreign agents. In connection with the new law on foreign agents, the list is supplemented with information on transportation, transportation routes and movement of units of the Russian army and law enforcement agencies.
