In the Sverdlovsk region, the activities of a large criminal community that organized the supply of drugs to other regions were stopped. Drug dealers organized three laboratories where mephedrone was produced, URA.RU was told in the press service of the FSB in the Sverdlovsk region.

“As a result of operational measures near the cities of Pervouralsk, Nevyansk and the village of Shaidurikha, regional FSB operatives liquidated a network of laboratories that produced the narcotic drug mephedrone. Five people involved in the production of the narcotic drug and five drug couriers who sold it were detained,” the department said.

In total, 22 kilograms of drugs, precursors and chemical reagents with a volume of more than 1,000 liters were seized from circulation. From this, in the future, another 20 kg of mephedrone could be made. The security forces also seized laboratory equipment and packaging.

As a result of the events, five criminal cases were initiated under the article on drug trafficking. The defendants face imprisonment for a term of 15 to 20 years.
