The FSB Directorate for Dagestan may be headed by the head of the department for the Perm Territory

The head of the FSB Directorate for the Perm Territory, Major General Gennady Anatsky, can head the FSB Directorate for the Republic of Dagestan, which is currently headed by Major General Alexey Egorov. Sources of Kommersant-Prikamye reported this.

A Kommersant source in the law enforcement agencies of Dagestan indirectly confirmed the possibility of changing the head of the FSB, noting that “this is the general practice: this is a regular rotation, which is usually carried out after three years of work in the position.” Alexey Egorov was appointed head of the FSB Directorate for Dagestan in August 2020.

Colonel Gennady Anatsky was appointed to the post of head of the FSB Directorate for the Perm Territory in October 2021. Before that, he served for four years as first deputy head of the FSB Directorate of the Tyumen Region, where he oversaw the fight against terrorism.

In 2022, Gennady Anatsky was awarded the rank of major general.
