Partners of the former Russian division of McKinsey announced a name change, follows from a message received by Kommersant. The new company will be called Yakov & Partners. it unites more than 15 partners — natives of the Big Three companies. A full launch of the brand, including an updated website, social networks and branding, will take place in several stages and be completed before the end of the year.
The Russian top management of the international consulting company McKinsey bought out the local business from the global network in May. As follows from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE), the Russian partners of McKinsey, General Director Yakov Sergienko (33%), became the owners of McKinsey and CIA Company LLC, Sergey Zaborov, Elena Kuznetsova, Tigran Sahakyan and Viktor Surkov.
At the first stage, Yakov & Partners will focus on projects in the technology sector, banking services, agriculture, retail and extractive industries. As of August, the company employs more than 180 people, follows from its message.
“The demand for strategic consulting services is higher than ever, not only in Russia, but throughout the world. Our operating model will be slightly different from classic strategic consulting: we plan to integrate deeper with our clients, work, among other things, as a co-investor and help Russian companies develop international relations,” said Yakov Sergienko.
