The former head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry called Putin a gentleman from a Jane Austen novel

Russian President Vladimir Putin is a most intelligent gentleman, he lives up to the standard that English writer Jane Austen described in her novel Pride and Prejudice. This was stated by former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl.

“Putin is the most intelligent gentleman I have ever met. Jane Austen wrote about an accomplished gentleman in her work “Pride and Prejudice,” and Putin meets this standard,” said Karin Kneissl, as quoted by the BBC.

After SPIEF 2023, Kneissl decided to stay in Russia. She rented a house in the Ryazan region and then moved to St. Petersburg. The former head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry moved to Russia due to constant threats of physical harm, as stated on her website.

The fact is that in 2018, Kneissl danced with Putin at her wedding. And after the start of the special operation, she submitted her resignation.
