September in St. Petersburg will be close to climate standards, the rains will mostly fall in the first half of the month. Such a preliminary forecast was presented by the leading forecaster of the specialized hydrometeorological support of the Hydrometeorological Center of St. Petersburg Natalya Mironiceva, reports “Nevskiye news“.
According to the forecast, the average monthly temperature is expected to be around +10.9 … +11.9 degrees, which is 0.5-1.5 degrees below the norm. Precipitation in large quantities is not expected, and the sun in the first autumn month should shine for about 135 hours.
“In the first half of the month, the formation of weather conditions will occur under the alternating influence of the periphery of cyclones and the periphery of high pressure fields. This will lead to weather with variable cloudiness and occasional precipitation,” Mironicheva said.

The heat in St. Petersburg, according to her, will begin to subside in the last days of August. With a high degree of probability, it can become the hottest since 1881 – it was from this date that regular meteorological observations began in the Northern Capital. Prior to this, August 1972 was considered the warmest, when the average monthly temperature was 19.8 degrees.
In the same time “infox” spoke about the weather on the penultimate weekend of summer in Voronezh. Expected to be around 26 to 27 degrees Celsius, precipitation is unlikely. At the same time, on the night of August 20, there will be short-term rain, it will be cloudy with clearings. On Sunday – August 21 – it will also be cloudy with clearings, significant precipitation is not expected.
Earlier, the Hydrometeorological Center told when the heat subsides. The temperature background should drop by the end of August, and until that moment the hot weather will persist.
