Expert Babintsev: UAVs could have flown to Moscow from the Baltic States or Kharkov
On the morning of May 30, Moscow was attacked by eight drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). General Director of the Aeronext Association NTI Gleb Babintsev in a comment RIA News” suggested that the UAVs could have arrived from the Baltic States or Kharkov.
“In a straight line to us – only 700 kilometers. This is a trifle for a small aircraft. Approximately at such a distance are both the Baltic states and Kharkov, ”he commented.
The drones that attacked Moscow today have internal combustion engines and a payload of 20 to 50 kilograms. They reach speeds of up to one and a half – two thousand kilometers per hour.
In turn, the head of the Duma Defense Committee, Colonel General Andrei Kartapolov, said that the drone attack was nothing more than an act of intimidation of Muscovites.
The authorities of the capital have asked residents to trust only trusted sources of information, as well as to remain calm.
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Moscow took control of the investigation into the incident.
