The ex-head of the Perm Opera explained the dismissal by a conflict with the Minister of Culture

The former general director of the Perm Opera and Ballet Theater Dovlet Anzarokov said that he was fired by the decision of the Minister of Culture of the Kama region, Alla Platonova. According to him, she demanded the dismissal of chief conductor Mihran Agadzhanyan and chief choreographer Anton Pimenov from the theater, but the head of the theater did not agree to this.

“This is the termination of the contract by the decision of the founder. All that were given to me as reasons were “difficult working relationship with the Minister of Culture” and “my unwillingness to follow her advice regarding the conduct of the theatrical process.” And this is true, because of all the advice regarding the conduct of the theatrical process, I received only demands to get rid of the chief conductor of the theater, as well as the chief choreographer, ”Anzarokov writes on social networks.

He noted that he sees no reason for the dismissal of “the two main creative leaders in the theater”. Anzarokov stressed that the theater received 4 Golden Mask awards in two years, produced many successful new productions, performed on the stages of the Moscow International Theater Theater, the Novaya Opera, the Bolshoi Theater, the Alexandrinsky Theater, held the largest ballet tour in the last few decades on the stage of the Mikhailovsky Theater.
